Hi Joy

I am so sorry this has happened to you. This does sound similar to what happened to me at the end of November last year. I had just found out I was pregnant and getting close to 12 weeks when I started bleeding. The scan at the EPU showed a sac and that the embryo had stopped growing just after 6 weeks. I then went on to pass the sac and had a full miscarriage. If you don't start bleeding I think you can get drugs to bring it on even though the miscarriage experience will hurt physically and mentally. I think Debbie might be able to give you some more info on the drugs.

It is a horrible experience and it is probably just bad luck that this happened twice to you. The falling hormones are probably making you feel bad too. Do you have to go back to the EPU or for another appointment?

Hi Amber, this cycle was very strange, I got wat i thought was af 3 days early, but my temps remained high. I bled light the the first day but in the evening I was in agony so took pain relief. The following day was medium bleeding and then a day of light spotting..all in all 4 days. I decided to test Wen the bleeding stopped as my temps never dropped and got a bfp, went straight to my gp as i thought somthing wasn't right, levels were only 37, had Bloods done again and they dropped to 30 so i was sent for a scan. I mentioned to the nurse I had what I thought was af but she seems to think that was the embryo passing but the sac is still there. Yea I have to have another scan to ensure it a blighted ovum and go from there x
Thankyou for replying, I remember y posting about ur mc. It's awful that we have to Ho through this! I thought the molar pregnancy was bad enough but I'm so upset by it all Xx

Hi Joy

That bleeding pattern seems very similar to what happened to me the cycle before i become pregnant. AF came nearly a week early and it was lighter than normal. I then felt exhausted for the next 3 weeks, AF then showed up and suddenly I felt normal again. I never tested so I can't be 100% on what happened, however I just relaxed and went on holiday and then did get pregnant.

Even though it is horrible now, you do know that you can get pregnant and your body will try again as soon as you have passed the sac.

Good luck with whatever you have to do next

Joy I am so so sorry, this is just awful for you especially twice too! I really hope you will look after yourself and get as much rest as you can. Take time off if need be. This did happen to me last year so I can understand how devastating it is and there is absolutely nothing that you could have done so dont blame yourself like I did. I had a d and C in the end. I am thinking of you. Take as much time as you need to heal and we are all here for you. X

Hiya, Thankyou all x
Atm I'm in the hospital, wat they thought was a blighted ovum turned out to be a psuedo sac and an ectopic, I have just had my right tube removed. I only had one tube that was open and that was my left one,my right tube has always been damaged so in a way I'm glad ur was in the right tube not the left one. I was booked in for a second scan anyway today but I was having cramps and shoulder pain so they took me straight in yesterday. Hopefully Il be home 2moro. X
Thanks for thinking of me Xxx

I'm so sorry Joy. You have had so much bad luck it is not fair. Fertility is often increased after miscarriage so keeping my fingers crossed that next time is the one.

Hope you feel better soon.

Sax,Amber wr83,Lolly....Thankyou.so much for ur support, I'm home now n resting up, I feel ok physically but am mentally drained!! I still have my left tube so have got a chance of another natural bfp but my consultant advised ivf which I can't afford. However the New guildlines cane out, I'm 43 in April so he is going to refer me but can't guarantee its not too late but as I've been under him the last year n half I may have a chance of a funded go. I had ivf 20 years, ago but self funded so don't know if Il have a free try? It's not a route I wud like to go down as my first ivf I had triplets with a mmc at 13 weeks n the other 2 trys had bfn. I was very niave then n didn't have a clue, there were no forums like this for help either.if i do get ivf I now have a better understanding and support network so I think Il be ok. Hope everyone is ok and Thankyou again Xxxx

Hi Joy

Make sure you take your time to get over this, I am not surprised you feel mentally drained you have been through such an emotional ordeal. Have you got anyone nearby to talk to and help you come to terms with what has happened?

Why does your consultant recommend IVF? IVF cannot get around miscarriage, and you have proved you can conceive by yourself. You still have your 'good' tube left so I can't see why you would need to put your body through the stress of IVF. Surely you would be better on focusing on building your body and mind up through nutrient dense food, enjoyable exercise and relaxation?

Look after yourself and take it easy
