Hi Ladies,

Thanks a lot for coming to the meeting.
It was a small meeting but it was great to meet you and to have a chat.

As Christmas is getting closer, our next meeting will be in The New Year. could you please let me know if Wed 20 January at 19.00 pm in the coffee shop at Culverhouse cross would be convenient for you?

Thanks

Local group

Postby A » Sat Feb 20, 2010 10:58 am

Hi Ladies,

For the last year, I have been trying to get the local group setup and going which I thought would be good for people to meet, socialise and share their experiences. Having a local group would also br a good opportunity for events to take place in Wales with specialists, doctors etc. in the future too. Unfortunately not many people are turning up at the meetings, despite a lot of interest from you ladies.
I will setup another meeting if enough people who are keen and committed to meet up contact me.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks
Annie

Hiya

I was diagnosed with PCOS about six months ago but have only just discovered Verity. I moved from North Wales to Cardiff about 2 weeks ago (having been a student here) and am so glad to be back in Cardiff after 12 months of living back with my parents.

I would be v interested in any future meetings you arrange and it would b v useful to chat to some local people about drs etc I have just registered with a new gp and will be seeing him on friday, so fingers crossed that he is as understanding about the pcos as my last gp was.

Anyways went a bit off topic there but would definitely be interested in meeting up the next time you meet.

Thanks

Bethan x

Hello everyone,

In case you're interested in coming over to join us, the Bristol group is meeting on Monday 13 December. Details below:

Anyway, our next meeting will be on Monday 13 December at 7pm at Starbucks at Aztec West (directions below). We haven't got a speaker - it's just a chance for us to chat, swap experiences etc. Next time we'll have a speaker from Neal's Yard (they can't spare the time in the run-up to Xmas).

We can't reserve anywhere to sit in Starbucks, but it's very quiet in the evenings, so there should be no trouble finding an area to sit. They are happy for us to hold our meeting there. Please make sure you buy a drink to thank them for letting us use the venue. There is also a bar there (part of the adjoining hotel) so you can buy non-coffee drinks too.

Please let me know if you're coming, and pass details onto anyone else you know in the area. See you soon!

How to get there:

The Aztec West roundabout is on the A38, about 6 miles north of Bristol city centre, just before the A38 meets the M5.
Come into Aztec West business park.
You'll see a roundabout almost straight away - take the 1st exit.
Then take the 1st turn on the left - very soon after the roundabout.
The road curves round a bit and you'll Starbucks in a stone building on the right, just before the Lodge (hotel).
For those of you who know Aztec West, Starbucks is in the building that used to be the Black Sheep pub and is opposite the Aztec Hotel.

Aztec West is also well served by local buses.
