Hello Ladies

I was just wondering if anyone knew when the next meeting was?

When I attended my first meeting some of the ladies mentioned a consultant at Southmead hospital who was very good, can anyone remember who it was?

Thanks
S

The consultant I saw at Southmead about PCOS (who was very good) was Mr Wardle.

I saw Mr Wardle as well and he was excellent. He is very difficult to see though and the waiting list is long.

Sorry for the delay in organising another meeting, folks - I have had a v rough few months contending with my divorce, my mother's descent into Alzheimer's and then - in the last 3 weeks - being made redundant. Another meeting is on the agenda certainly - Neal's Yard are going to do a demo of various lotions and potions in their shop - but I can't set a date till I know what's going on on the job front.

Things also haven't been helped by the fact that I was locked out of this discussion forum for several months so couldn't post anything!!

Sorry to hear how difficult things have been Katharine.

It seems to have been a rubbish year for a lot of people!

I hope to come to the next meeting (and yes, I know I said that last time)

Sorry for the delay in setting up this meeting [my divorce and redundancy rather got in the way].

Anyway, our next meeting will be on Monday 13 December at 7pm at Starbucks at Aztec West (directions below). We haven't got a speaker - it's just a chance for us to chat, swap experiences etc. Next time we'll have a speaker from Neal's Yard (they can't spare the time in the run-up to Xmas).

We can't reserve anywhere to sit in Starbucks, but it's very quiet in the evenings, so there should be no trouble finding an area to sit. They are happy for us to hold our meeting there. Please make sure you buy a drink to thank them for letting us use the venue. There is also a bar there (part of the adjoining hotel) so you can buy non-coffee drinks too.

Please let me know if you're coming, and pass details onto anyone else you know in the area. See you soon!

How to get there:

The Aztec West roundabout is on the A38, about 6 miles north of Bristol city centre, just before the A38 meets the M5.
Come into Aztec West business park.
You'll see a roundabout almost straight away - take the 1st exit.
Then take the 1st turn on the left - very soon after the roundabout.
The road curves round a bit and you'll Starbucks in a stone building on the right, just before the Lodge (hotel).
For those of you who know Aztec West, Starbucks is in the building that used to be the Black Sheep pub and is opposite the Aztec Hotel.

Aztec West is also well served by local buses.

Would love to meet up with the Bristol ladies again! I went to a Verity group meeting in Bristol quite some time ago (at the pub near the Frenchay campus) and met some lovely people but haven't managed to attend again since. Are there any meetings planned in the next couple of months? xx :)

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay in setting up the next meeting. Trouble getting a speaker.

Watch this space - shouldn't be too long before we meet again.
