Hi
I was sort of diagnosed with PCOS in march, after referring myself to a specialist. The GPs didn't really know what was wrong with me - I had been on the contraceptive injection for a few years, and after coming off it, I didn't have a period for over 12m. I don't have any symptoms of pcos apart from no periods.
My husband and I would like to try for a baby next year, and the specialist advised us to go back and see him then, as I will most likely need drugs & treatment as i don't think I ovulate. I am nearly 30.
He gave me a prescription for provera, and recommended that I take it every 3m or so so that I have a period. I am due to take it again soon, but had a short (2 day) period without it.
Would you think I should still take the provera? Does this mean I have ovulated? Next year should we ttc without intervention, or just go back to the specialist?
I have been taking vitamins, and also some seven seas trying for a baby vitamins (in anticipation).
Sorry for all the questions, I hope someone has had some similar experiences!
Thank you
