Norfolk- waiting for first fertility appointment

Postby ColourChick2504 » Sun Mar 23, 2014 10:39 am

Hi,
Am new to this and wanted to introduce myself I guess.. Me and OH have been ttc for 2 years. I'm almost 23 and was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago. Was referred to fertility specialist then, but was cancelled and sent back to GP for more tests (really encouraging lol). Since then, I've had to have MMR jab, STI checks and partner SA tested. Finally my GP (saw a different one this time) will refer me again (to Kings Lynn?) after getting a Rubella Immunisation proof. More blood tests lol.

She talked a lot about IVF and Bourn Hall- but I thought they tried medication (like Clomid etc) first? Am concerned they won't even try the "natural" ttc? Does anyone know what Kings Lynn are like? Nervous, and trying to wade through the mine fields of information the internet has to offer! Very difficult to find what you are looking for!
Hoping to hear from someone soon!
Thanks :)

Do you know the results of the sperm test yet ? If they are suggesting ivf then it sort of infers the sperm results were not good but normally they do more than one test as they vary massively, things like having a cold/temperature can affect the results hugely.
