Postby hope07 » Sat Oct 05, 2013 11:16 am

Just wondered if anyone's into running?

Well done hope!
I've done two half maras. 1st one was 2h4m and the 2nd one was 2h1m - was aiming for sub 2hrs - gutted!!
Running really helped me cope with not being able to conceive and IVF wait stress but I didn't run at all during IVF treatment or pregnancy.
I've managed a few short runs in the year since DS was born (never felt so unfit!!) but that's it. Hoping to get back into it soon though as a new running club is starting near me. Need to get some new trainers and a decent running bra first though.
TTC #1 since 01/10
Me:34
irregular cycles in 2010 after stopping Pill
02/11- U/S shows polyps & PCO
04/11- CD3 bloods fine. Start acupuncture weekly
06/11-L+D & hystero, polyp removed, all clear
07/11-10/11 4 cycles of Clomid 50mg - all ovulatory but no BFP
DH:32, all fine
Referred to ACU.
First IVF cycle (short protocol)
ET 19/12/11 - 1x 5 day blasto :)
BFP 30/12/11 :D
EDD 05/09/12
DS born 01/09/12 - our joy!

I know running saves my sanity.
The local jog groups are good to get going, very friendly and free or cheap :)
I started with a jog group but now run for my local running club.
I ran the half in I:52 was hoping for sub 1:50 but at 9 miles my toes started really hurting- turns out I lost two toe nails.

Hoping to do another half next year, maybe York x

Hello

I just started running in June this year found it really helps.

Hoping to run my first half marathon at the Cambridge half in march and raise some money for verity even if it's just a little :)

Would appreciate some tips, I've joined a running club and try and run three times a week

I loved running pre having my daughter and I'm trying to love it again! See if there is a local ParkRun near you. It's a free timed 5k and normally a great little community of runners. X
