Hi, I'm new here, just joined I hope I'm putting this in the right section, if not I'm sorry :/
My question is, I'm travelling to america in august. I'm trying to find a definate yes or no to taking a disposable bic type razor on as hand baggage. TSA say they allow them in to america, but just looking on heathrows rules and they seem to be saying no! I'm flying delta from heathrow.
I'd love someone who has flown recently to give me the answer.
Obviously I'd like to "freshen up" onboard or on my layover.

Thank you all in advance
Maxie

I would be very surprised because it was the Americans who started all those rules, so they should be the strictest...

Best bet is to ring the airline directly but I doubt it - they are very strict nowadays

Hi Maxie, I've travelled to USA and took a disposable razor like Bic in my hand luggage. I put it in an inside pocket in my handbag. At that time stubble used to come through on my chin rather quickly and the 7 hr flight was too long and then the hours waiting at USA border control that it was too embarrassing to leave it. Men need to shave on planes if they are going to meetings etc. If you feel nervous about taking it through security in USA go to toilets and bin it before going through. Hope that helps :-)
