Honeymoon ideas!

Postby Lexa » Wed May 15, 2013 5:31 pm

Hello!

Next July is our big day :) OH and I were looking at new york for a week but I really dont want to be spending much more than £2k. We're on decent wages but I want to save up for a deposit for a house, start a family (fertility pending) etc.

We cant go anywhere hot because OH will whine the entire time, so warm would be nice. Anyone been anywhere thats pretty but entertaining?

Thanks Guys.

I love Cuba but may be a bit hot for your OH and I think July may be hurricane season :-) maybe not then....

Funnily enough a friend of mine didnt bother going abroad for her honeymoon and stayed for 3 nights in a really nice unique hotel and they loved it as it was so special so that could be a cheaper alternative and I doubt it will be hot .... but you never know... we can dream that we may get a decent summer I suppose...

Yeah he's a nightmare when it comes to warmth, our flat would be a steady 5 degrees all year if he could get away with it!

I was thinking about a uk stay but ive never been abroad..ever! So I would like something a bit nicer for my honeymoon, not really fussed about a lavish hotel just an interesting place.. was thinking snowboarding but the issue is July, having a quick look around there isnt a definite answer to what resorts would be open..

How about a short stay in an east European city? - Vienna is beautiful, so is Prague or Krakow or Moscow. If you like to look around these are great destinations and definitely not something you will forget easily.

I may be biased because my OH works for them but give them a call, tell them your budget and the fact that your fiance doesn;t like the heat and they will find you the perfect holiday!
