I don't own a caravan privately but we stayed in an apartment on a hoseasons site in Charmouth, which is just across the border in Dorset and we got it really cheap on a deal. The entire site was quiet and immaculate and clean. Just an idea with you if no has a caravan in devon.

We have a sun holiday every year and the priority booking form came yesterday- and Devon Cliffs is on there! So I will be trying to book online at the first oppurtunity- be a bit cheaper than the £800 I have been quoted so far  x

Hun, we had our priority form too and I was just coming on to suggest that. If not Woolacombe is fab too. That has been our Sun holiday for the last two years and it is lovely. We had a lodge the first year and a caravan the next and the kids loved the caravan or as Danté calls it "the white house" The amount the kids enjoyed it you'd have thought we had a five star hotel! They still ask to go to the white house even now so guess where we'll be going!

We went to Devon Cliffs on a sun holiday a few years ago and I would warn that the site is (as you'd expect being on a cliff) quite steeply sloping in parts and we had quite a walk from where we could park our cars to our caravan. This was a nightmare with a grandmother who's had a stroke and walks with a stick. Our caravan had no footpath as such down to its front door, we had to go up over a mound then back down the other side of a muddy grass bank to get to our caravan's door. It was a nightmare in the rain

Thanks for the head up J.

If we are lucky enought to get on to this site for the sun holiday I will upgrade the accomodation and stress we need flat access, though TBH DD is 3 now and walks well we rarely use the pushchair x
