Outlook certainly can be good. Try not to carastrophise until you know whats really going on. In my experience its helpful to stuff for people - not ask the things, just do it. Get them a bagful of stuff from the supermarket, turn up and take her kids out for an afternoon, mop her kitchen floor and clean the bathroom while they are at the hospital. You are asked to make so many decisions and plans that making more is just too exhausting, but IRS more than lovely just to find things are done, no thinking necessary. Of corurse, this could be just me, but a bagful of shopping is unlikely to actually offend anyone, even if the don't really want it! Buy cake and simple food with not much prep needed.
Brain tumours can be nasty, but they can also be recovered from. Hope for the best and try not to assume the worst. Best wishes.
