toe nail infection + 'pre diabetic'

Postby Lexa » Fri Sep 16, 2011 9:20 pm

Sorry if any of this is gross..

I had a bit of an ingrowing toe nail a couple of weeks ago and it bled a bit so I got the nail clipper and got rid but ever since its getting worse and now its half way round my toe and (sorry) producing a bit of pus. Had a look at google for home remedies and most of the pages are basically saying GET TO THE DOCTORS IF YOU HAVE DIABETES. I am bordeline diabetic but tenchnically not diabetic.. not really sure if it requires such drastic medical attention?

also its friday night and docs arent open until monday seems a bit silly to go to A+E.

any thoughts?

Hi,

Have you been to the doctors yet?

Just wanted to say that Lloyds pharmacy (and boots probably) will do a finger prick test for diabetes. Thats how i got diagnosed cuz the doctors were crap.

Hope its not diabetes, but worth checking out especially if you have other symptoms such as thirst?
