Hi guys
Taj how was the scan?
Pink, No twins in the family but it was IVF so I knew there was a chance as I had two transferred. Great that things are going so well.
Had a bleed yesterday which freaked me out but things seem to have settled & there's no scanning apts until Monday (4 days is the soonest slot they have!) so trying to stay calm today & over the weekend. My blood pressure has been really low today - is anyone else suffering with that?

Hi guys
Yes Taj you're definitely welcome to stay here. We're such a small group anyhow!
Scan went really well & they weren't at all concerned. Both babies doing well. I keep getting info pushed on me about screening for Downs Syndrome. The chances of miscarriage when you gave twins from the investigations are too high for me to consider it after the journey we've taken to get here. Has anyone any experience of this?

The downs tests are done automatically at your 12 wk scan they just take a measurement during your scan n you have z normal blood test after. I don't think there is any risk of miscarriage is there.
Glad twins are well.
Taj course you can stay. There's only a couple of us here anyways x
I'm currently in majorca trying to have a relaxing holiday not quite working out like that lol oh well. But least I'm eating well lol

Hi all, hope everyones ok? Was just wondering if this is the second time round for anyone else and if so weather you feel much heavier much sooner this time? I've had to go into maternity jeans at 9 weeks. I'm starting to wonder if like my mum on her second go I'm having twins cos I feel huge, and so much more pregnant than this stage last time round!!

*sneaks in*
I've been lurking here quietly because my sister sometimes uses this forum and I hadn't told her yet, but now that she knows and I'm a bit further along I thought it safe to join you (though other family still don't know).

By my dates I'm due Oct 20th, by my dating scan I'm due Oct 12th. However I have to have my scan redone on Sunday as apparently the images didn't pass the quality audit. I'm kind of glad about this as the NT measurement was higher than I would have liked, but at the same time the thought of sitting with a full bladder for that long again, being told to cough and jiggle about etc etc is filling me with dread!

also sneaking in . . .

Can I join also?? Im 16 weeks today due 26th September, scans have put baby a week ahead (17wks) but they havent changed my date. I have been silently stalking you all.

Sorry I have taken so long to join. I had a miscarriage last year and wanted to get through the first trimester before I posted. I have also had really bad nausea and sickness (lost over 3kgs and I am a Skinny PCOS!) so wasnt able to post, I didnt have the mental or physically strength!

This is a second pregnancy for me, I have a daughter (4yrs old) from 2nd go at IVF but this is pregnancy is natural. My body seemed to reboot itself after having DD.

Anyway I have moved into maternity jeans today and what a bloody relief it is, I feel huge! Although today I feel quite rough again and have had lots of sharp pains and backache to go with the slight nausea and tiredness.

Taj - I was on the thread last year with you until I miscarried - congratulations on your surprise. I really hope it goes smoothly for you and your little girls feeding improves xx

Noodlebrew - both of mine have had large but within 'normal range' nuchal measurements, dd came back with a very low risk, this one just came back in the hi risk cat (mainly cause im old!!) so I had a Harmony test and it has come back negative, all is fine. I wouldnt worry about the measurement on its own.

Looking forward to getting to know you all

Cait

Yay for not sneaking in alone! I'm down to only one pair of jeans that fit now and bought maternity boy jeans last week and oh my gosh they're they most wonderful things ever, but I'm putting off wearing them until we finally tell people as the elastic visible below my tops might be a bit of a giveaway. I've also got a measurement session in a fortnight to hopefully become a live dressmakers dummy for mothercare which is pretty exciting!

Really glad your harmony test was negative cait and also good to hear of someone else getting one done, this is my plan if I come back as high risk (DH does not quite understand my need to have an advance plan for every eventuality but I find it keeps me calmer).

Hi guys,
anyone about on here today? I have my 12 week scan later at 1420, and I'm slightly terrified. No idea why, seem to have myself convinced somethings going to be wrong. DH thinks I'm being silly - helpful man!
