Congratulations still a mummy, glad you're all ok now and home.

Harry Gordon Michalski arrived on 30 June @ 12.05pm after a bit of a traumatic birth, we're still in hospital as I've had to have 2 transfusions but will hopefully go home today if my iron levels have improved.

Congratulations Lou!!! So happy for you. Sorry to hear it was a complicated birth though. You'll have to fill us in with what happened once you're feeling better. Hope you get to go home soon.

AFM - I had my scan and appointment this morning. Little man is fine and weighing 5lb 7oz which is apparently perfect for 34 weeks. Also friendly fibroid has moved location and is now on the right (with the baby's head below it) so it looks like a vaginal birth for me. Have to go back in 3 weeks for another scan/appointment just in case. Don't know if that's good or not as I had kind of psyched myself up for a C section now! xx

Wow congratulartions Lou, makes it all that much more real now babies are arriving, hope you recover soon and can get back home x

Great news SGC, at least you now have the option of VB, are you still able to opt for the CS if you wanted to go down that route?

Lemming - not sure they would offer me a CS unless emergency now so we're preparing for a VB. Has anyone ever done perennial massage?! I am mostly scared of ripping/tearing so thought I might give it a go... sounds a bit weird though! xx

I didn't with my first but I wish I had done as I had quite a nasty tear almost to the point they considered taking me to theatre to fix which after only having gas and air to that point would have been really frustrating. It was quite a quick labour so that would have also been a big factor as things didn;t have time to stretch slowly.

Should really start doing it now, but yes it doesn't sound like the nicest of things and will feel a bit odd doing it, but worth a go if there is a chance it helps.

Went to normal midwife app today and even though it's with the usual tape measure looks like little one is going in the right direction and come off the 10th percentile to around the 20th so fingers crossed the scan next week confirms it and they carry on with the monitoring rather than induce me then.
Glad I did keep it as I felt a lot easier asking the questions I wanted to about birth options if they do induce, sounds like the pool wuld be ruled out as they would monitor start to finish as it's a growth concern, if they induce due to going overdue sounds like they tend to treat it as normal once they get you going but not if induced before the due date.

Hi ladies, hope everyone is ok? We came home on Thursday, I'm not going into details until all the babies are here, don't want to scare you! But basically I got blue lighted from the birth centre to the hospital with suspected pre eclampsia & ended up with a nasty tear hence the blood lost. But it was all worth it in the end to finally have the baby we have wanted for so long, he's a beautiful boy & I still can't believe he's actually here!

Hello! How is everyone doing?

Been cleared by consultant today, scan shows little one back up to 40th percentile so about 6lb 5oz at the moment which is an increase from 5lb 3 wks ago. With another 3 wks till due date she could easlier get to 8lb at this rate!

1 week left at work as of tomorrow, but it still doesn't seem real.
