Blossom just crashing to say it is wonderful you got to see Bubs again and all is looking well. I am thinking a girl for you because of the heartbeat it's a shame you have a UTI but at least that explains why you have been feeling so bad, it will clear up quickly with the antibiotics. Not long until your 12 week scan now, you are almost there!!!!

Slk - also you may not be able to see a heartbeat at 6+2, most clinics tend to wait until 7 weeks to scan for that reason as it can cause unnecessary worry if you don't see the heartbeat. 6+2 is early and your dates may be off slightly so don't worry if you don't see it at the scan. They may ask you to come back in a week to check the heartbeat.

Summer..thanks hun for popping on here and wishing me well and checking on me. I feel very positive for you and reacon you will be on this thread in 2 weeks or so! Yeah do feel much better today thanks and antibiotics kicking in.

Slk..agree with summer about hb, sometimes you can and sometimes you can't so be prepared for either. Most places do day 7 weeks, I had a private scan at 7 plus 1 but measured 3 days behind 6 plus 5 and we did see a hb.

fmw..hope hubby inf getting better too. Thats a great quick response on getting the ball rolling on midwife. Good idea to sort an early scan too, sure hubby will think its a good idea too as it gives you something to focus on in the interim when the early days seem slow.

Jaffa..your very quiet hun, I hope all is ok with you. You must be 6 weeks now ??

Afm..I am feeling bit better today and just counting down days until the 12 week scan. I still feel like I cant quite believe I am still here.

Hello, yes 6 weeks this weekend. But I don't feel well at all. Yesterday I felt so sick and dizzy, and had (tmi alert) yellowish discharge and this morning I had (tmi alert) pink mucous and a dot of blood (nothing since) and embarrassingly a bad odour. I am so sorry to share this but it's Saturday so I can't blinking do anything about it. No point ringing 111 or going A&E. if its bad news it's not like they care anyway. I took the day off despite it being one of the busiest days of the year but I have to go in tomorrow and Monday - I have no choice. I have been asleep most of the day. Don't know what else I can do. Not panicking but not particularly happy either.

Sounds like it could be thrush to me. Are you itchy too? If so I would see you GP and get it treated, apparently it can be more common in pregnancy. Six weeks is when pregnancy sickness tends to kick in and yes you can get light headed too (I certainly did). If you can't get to your GP try a pharmacist and they may be able to help.

afm - I am still feeling sick and tired, so will catch up tomorrow.

Thanks amber. At the back of my mind is always the possibility of another mc. Last time it started with pinkish mucous. Not much I can do though. I'll wait and see and yes i'll get to the gp asap. A little itchy so hopefully thats all it is. I hope you feel better soon xx

I know what you mean about mc, I still keep checking every time I go to the loo as I am paranoid. I am now at the same time as I was last time when my mc started so keeping my fingers crossed everything is all right this time.

We've told our parents and someone guessed at a family do yesterday because I wasn't drinking and didn't eat the smoked salmon starter! Unfortunately I was totally caught off guard and told her too! I need to learn to lie! I'm going to tell my closest friends after my scan I think but I'm struggling to keep it a secret already so we'll see about that! I am worried about people knowing because I'm scared it's going to jinx it. Fmw9412 When are you planning to tell people? Xx

jaffa - sorry to hear about your spotting, i do agree with amber my thoughts were thrush or even what i have had a urine infection and again is very common in pregnancy with all the hormomes flying about. Glad you rested today and even though you say you got a really busy day i would see how you feel and not go and rest again, your health and baby is more important than work and sometimes things like spotting are our bodys way of telling us to slow dowm. i hope you get checked out, might be worth just going to epu tomorrow morning rather than gp as they will be more helpful..i hope you feel better today and let us know how you get on. i had a really unhelpful gp on thur who told me to wait till monday for reults of urine inf- so 4 days left untreated in a pg women - wasnt impressed so i went to epu and they tested me straight aay and said infection and gave me antibiotics.

Amber-jaffa- i too am totally paramoid even after scans i dread going to loo and terrified of seeing blood, i wonder when it will go away?? Agree we have been through much and we all need to come out the other end positively.

Just popping for slk, Jaffa and blossom.

I went for an early scan at 7 weeks and they could not see a baby just a yolk sac. I knew I was not out by that much so they said come back in a week if I did not miscarry. I was terrified and spent the whole week crying as with my history I could not believe it would be ok. However a week later went back and saw a perfect 8 week baby and heartbeat so 6 weeks may be too early - don't panic as baby can be in an awkward position and hiding behind the yolk sac due to their size.

Also I still panic now that I will jinx it. We have only bought a pram so far as needed to or it would not arrive in time. But totally panicked the week after that I had jinxed it even at 32 weeks. At work only my colleagues know and no clients yet as I just can't bring myself to say anything even though I have been off lots with prescribed bed rest they only know I had an operation.

Thanks gem and I am so pleased it has been going well for you. I was keeping my eye on you guys from afar and hoping so much for the best. I think I'm going to EPU tomorrow I can't bear not knowing what's going on in there. I know 6 weeks is too early but I just want to know if it's gone wrong. I'm normally quite good at being optimistic but not good with mystery pink mucous. It makes me uneasy. Xx

Welcome slk and fmw I you both have a trouble free nine months.

Blossom I hope your UTI is clearing up and you are feeling better. I too am waiting on the 12 week scan. I am still waiting for the letter which tells me when it will be. I am really busy at work and have a weeks holiday starting next Saturday so I hope they can manage to find me a suitable time.

Jaffa - good luck for tomorrow, I hope it is nothing more than an infection that can be cleared up with topical medication.

Dudders - You have been very quiet, I hope everything is okay.

Afm - I keep hoping the sickness will be over soon as I will be 12 weeks on Wednesday, I want to go on holiday and have a decent meal! I still don't know when my 12 week scan will be and I have very few days I am available before the 14 week mark. I hope I get my letter tomorrow. I am beginning to show and have bought some new trousers with an elastic waist to take on holiday. I'll also have to tell work soon, though I was hoping to wait till I got back from holiday. I have my interview for my doctorate course on Tuesday so got to get through the interview without them suspecting I am pregnant. Then when I get an offer I am going to have to work out how I am going to fit it around my maternity leave. Will have to go down the part time route now instead of full time so it is going to take twice as long, however the important thing is that I complete it.

I had a scan and saw a heartbeat! Measured 5w6d which is pretty much right. And a 35mm cyst whixh may be why i have pain. Rebooked for 2 weeks time to measure both uterus dwellers. Xx
