Thanks Blossom, I am so nervous about it and preparing myself for the worst. Feel so sick this morning, hope it goes away after the scan.

Thankyou all for thinking about me. I can report good news! Saw the baby's heart beat and it's arms and legs were moving! My EDD is 31st December 2014 so one day short for this thread, but still could quite easily be a new year baby.

Will be seeing the midwife on 11th June for my booking appointment.

Oh wow amazing news, so pleased for you. You must feel so relieved I bet it feels unreal? So how many weeks were you dated at, were you right at 9 and a half?

Getting really anxious about mine now had an awful dream last night that I went for my scan and no heartbeat and I woke in a panic. I feel really down today which I know is silly but it seemed so real I thought it had really happened.

I'm cautiously dipping my toe in this thread.

I'm 6+ weeks pregnant and have an early scan booked a week tomorrow to see if it's viable.

I'm feeling so low and blue this time around though, I definitely wasn't like this with my son and last year with my MMC. I spent most of the weekend crying over daft things, I feel nauseous most of the time and so tired. I'm fully expecting there to be nothing on the scan, but am scared there will be and I've got weeks of feeling like this to come. It's not like me to feel this blue, is this normal? I just want to shut my eyes and sleep, which isn't allowed with a boisterous 4 year old!

How is everyone else feeling?

Hi Anilav...I am popping over from the oct thread as I know we have chatted on the TTC threads before. So pleased for you. And the nausea and feeling tired/blue is such a good time. I felt awful around the 6 week mark this time which I think is made worse having another child to run around after as well. also feel more stressed worried t and neurotic this time round. Even at 22 weeks I keep thinking someone is going to take this away from me. Take care of yourself xxxx

HI Blossom

I was bang on with the dates which is surreal, I had a text book cycle in April. I know what you mean about nightmares, I have had several dreams about finding myself bleeding and always feeling so relieved when I wake up and go to the toilet to find nothing.

I know how you feel about the scan, I had convinced myself that I had mmc and was shaking while waiting for my appointment yesterday. I nearly burst into tears when the sonographer showed me my baby and it's heart beat. I was in exactly the same room with the same sonographer who diagnosed my miscarriage at the end of 2012. However she was really good and well aware about how nervous women with previous miscarriages could be. Fingers crossed for you.

Welcome Anilav - hope your scan goes well, you are not alone with the worry about mmc. Can your otherhalf take your 4 year old off your hands for a bit or can he go to one of his friends houses to play sometimes? Sometimes it is better to get the scan out of the way as it does give you peace of mind, I feel so much better to facing up to it yesterday and knowing all the sickness is worth it.

Thanks everyone, for your kind words.

Miracle; yes I can't believe it either! I've been TTC no 2 for over 3 years now. I have decided though if this doesn't work out then I'm done. I've had enough!

Amber; I'm so pleased your scan was a positive experience.

I know what you mean about odd dreams ladies. In the first 12 weeks I had the worst anxiety dreams...like leaving the baby somewhere or delivering and there being no baby there.

Anilav. I understand how you feel about that being it. I tried for this little one for 7 years and one of the reasons it has to work out is so I don't have to ever try to conceive again...so tired of it. Thinking of you and keeping EC it all works out brilliantly.

Welcome anilav, I hope your feeling well and understand your worrys re mmc too. good luck with your scan next week. Are you having a private scan or one from nhs epu?

Welcome jaffa too, so happy for you and I imagine it doesnt feel real yet. Know what you mean about joining in anyway as it doesn't change any outcomes but its good to be able to chat to others in same situation and share our worrys, fears and joys.

Amber glad your sonographer was understanding and it must have been so emotional seeing baby was ok. Tues cant come quick enough for me getting so anxious about it.

The group is slowly growing which is nice.

Hello ladies,

Thanks for asking after me miracle, it means a lot x

I can't quite believe it but we're still hanging in there. With what happened to my hcg numbers it just doesn't seem possible, but we've now had two scans where our little pip has had a heartbeat. Baby is small so that's scary as baby was also small last year, but maybe that just means that's what is normal for us. Our consultant is delighted and thinks everything is good, but of course I can't help but be incredibly nervous. Next scan in a week - ohhhhhhhhh what a LONG week it will be!

I'll update the first post, so if you've worked out your due dates and want me to add them Anilav and Jaffa, just let me know.

It's not fair that pregnancy should be this scary! But at least we all have eachother :)

Jaffa, perhaps push to see the epu and a consultant - I saw one last week and he's put me on high dose folic acid and doubled up my dose of aspirin. Worth asking for some peace of mind **hugs**

2013 - the year of IVF - resulting in a heterotopic pregnancy and the loss of our beautiful babies at 10 weeks (and my tube)

Dudders that's brilliant! So glad. Can I go to EPU even if I have no bleeding? (Fingers crossed) That would be reassuring. I have a GP appointment tomorrow so I'll ask! Also I have read a lot of people after miscarriages mentioning taking high dose folic acid and/or aspirin. Can the gp recommend this or did they get to see a consultant in between pregnancies for tests? I have got my BFP before I managed to get to this appointment. (Booked for 2nd July, keeping it booked in til the last minute!)

I'm a big believer in not fibbing about pain or bleeding - just couldn't risk tempting fate! I think you could say that you're rather hazy on dates and they might scan you early then. You have to be pushy that's for sure, but I would hope they'll see you for at least a reassurance scan based on your history. And no bleeding isn't a strict requirement for epu - I've had none at all and they scanned me. Everything crossed for you - hope your GP is nice and sympathetic xx
