Clothes for long bodied girl

Postby youlemming » Sun Feb 23, 2014 6:41 pm

Hi, Any recommendations for where to get trousers for a nearly 4 yr old who wears 5-6 to get the length required but still ends up showing off her backside most of the time as she also has a long body.
Going up in age isn't working any more as it's not the leg length I need but they all seem to be the same in the body between 4 and 6 yrs.

Tesco seems to be the worst for sizes coming up small, Morrisions is good but the don't last many washes before the colour starts to wear!
But I don't want to spend a lot on things being worn to nursery.

Shame there isn't anything like the bump bands I used to cover up during pregnancy

Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

I had a similar problem with Megan, and still do even now she's almost 7 - I find that Next's skinny jeans fit well as they tend to have skinny legs and adjustable waists, as do some from M&S. TBH, jeans are pretty much the only trousers she wears, other than leggings as it's just easier to find skirts / dresses that fit her better...

Thanks, will have a next time I'm in town, think I'm going to have to start trying things on her while in the shop.

Skirts and dresses aren't much of an option with Amelia either, just because she won't wear them!
