Hi

Just wanted to let you know that I am fine, we had Beas funeral on Thursday which was beautiful and we realised how lucky we are to have so many friends as over 60 people came. We were so touched. Instead of flowers we asked for donations to the SCBU where Bea was looked after and so far have raised over £1250! The great thing is DHs work will match anything we get so a fantastic legacy for our littlest girl.

I hope you're all well and enjoying newborns/bumps xxxx

I'm glad to hear you're doing well hun. How fantastic for your DH's work to match donations!

I also want to raise money for our SCBU - I think anyone whose had a baby cared for by them wants to.

Hope everyone is well. xx

Hi everyone, wow it's been quiet on here! How are we all?

Moo - sounds like you have had great support, I hope you are doing as well as can be expected right now xxx

How's everyone else?

AFM I finished work at the beginning of Oct, had a busy first week off doing too much, 2nd week I had to slow down a bit and week 3 I was diagnosed with Obstetric Cholestasis - so have been at the hospital about 4 times overt he past week for scans, ECGs and tests - they put me straight on meds which are starting to work as scratching my skin less, last weekend I was literally scratching my skin off all over my body, it was horrible!

So I'm 37+3 now and baby is doing fine. Growth is good, she's approx 6lb3 apparently (but I know they can often get this wrong!). I'm booked in for an induction at 38+6 so not long to go! I''m so ready now, not slept well for weeks, I'm so uncomfortable and the itchyness has driven me crazy this week - it will all be worth it though for sure :D

So how's everyone, be good to hear how you're all doing x

Good to hear from you Mrs W! Not long to go at all. It seems so unfair that you get your sleep stole enforce they arrive doesn't it?,!?!

We've got a 34w growth scan on Monday and then consultant. Hoping they're willing to leave me be until something happens on its own!
I'm starting to order my supplies for my hospital bag!! Really struggled finding a new unisex baby grow I liked! I was sick of seeing white, brown and yellow!! Found a rainbow one so I'm happy! Thinking I'll buy a couple more (if I can find any!!!) in a multipack just in case we're in hospital a while again! (Had 3 day stay last time!)
Starting to get uncomfortable and had some sharper braxton hicks last night! (Probably why I'm getting organised today!!)

Hello everyone

Any more babies yet?

My poor Lexi has had a rough start. On 24 Oct we went to A&E because she was vomitting her feeds up and I was worried she'd get dehydrated. They checked her over and decided to do a full screening for sepsis (including a lumbar puncture) because of her symptoms and me being Group B Strep positive (please get yourselves tested). We were admitted to the childrens' ward and had to stay overnight as she was started on IV antibiotics. On the Friday night we came home but had to go back every day for her IV antibiotic infusion every day until the Tuesday, which meant she had a cannula in her foot! On Thursday last week she started with a cold - my son had one earlier in the week! Today she is so grumpy and congested. She's been through so much in her little 7 weeks.

Hello everyone,

So sorry to hear about little Lexi - what a worry for you, I hope she is doing better now xx

Baby news from me... Evie was born at 39+1 (8/11/2013) following induction. She is a Beaty and weighed 6lb13. After 3 nights in hospital and a somewhat traumatic labour, we were glad to come home and I've been trying to rest and recover since. Thankfully DH has been off work and pretty much did everything for the first few days and nights.

Baby is doing well, sleeps lots and eats lots!

How is everyone else doing? Any more baby news?

Congratulations Mrs W!! Lovely news! :)

Sorry I've not been checking in here much - we've been struggling and finally today got a diagnosis of CMPA (cow's milk protein allergy) so Lexi has started Nutramigen formula (on prescription). She's still not gained much since birth (half a kilo) and has fallen from 98th to below 75th line so we're on weekly HV checks and we'll see the GP in 4wks time again. That means I have to stop breast feeding (or go dairy free which I don't want to) so I'm expressing to relieve pain only. These weeks have been hard and I had been thinking I was heading pnd way but having a diagnosis and solution finally, and stopping the bf (which I didn't enjoy doing when out etc) will hopefully stop me from sinking into that low.

Tonight she's had one formula feed and she's settled and slept for 3.5hrs which is unheard of - she was feeding from me every 2hrs! I look forward to some 'normality' in our lives soon!

Aww congratulations Mrs W!!! Evie is a very cute name!

There can't be many left now?!? Seeing how I'm 1.5 weeks from due date and pretty sure I was almost last in the queue! :)
I've not been on properly for a while as things have been pretty busy here, can't remember if I've said, but we're going through a referral for a possible autism diagnosis for my son Daniel, and our last assessment/feedback meeting is next Friday 2 days before due date!!!

Hopefully if baby hasn't arrived early we'll have that meeting then booked in with consultant following Monday to discuss action (if any) as I'll be 'over'

My midwife seems pretty clueless about VBACs!!! Kept offering me a c section! And mixing up how many weeks I am! And is so vague about what she thinks the consultant will say (because I don't think she has a clue!!) luckily it's baby #2 and I'm not reliant on her to reassure me! ;)

Right better finish dinner!!!

Saskia Harper Belle Williams was born on Tuesday 3rd December at 10.55 weighing 5lbs 9oz. I had an elective c-section that went very well(apart from them scratching her face when cutting me open- but superficial scratch that is healing well) We got home on Friday evening and are slowly getting into the swing of things. Feeding was tricky to start with but now she is feeding well on the breast.
Hope all is well with you Mummies. xxx

Ahhhh, congratulations Rachel, lovely names, and they combine really well. Glad (apart from the scratch) that c section went well for you, and really great that feeding is going well too! I know some people with electives have troubles getting established, so that's really great of your part!

I'm currently sat in a warm bath, debating whether these pains are contractions or braxton hicks today!!! Going to consultant appointment in an hour so guess they might be able to tell me. I'm fine driving so im thinking BH, Hutu going to poppy hospital bag in the boot just in case ;)
