Hope all's going well for everyone, I'm now on countdown to my scan on Tues, by my reckoning I'm 12 weeks today

Hi girls,

I just wanted to come on and congratulate you all on your long egg and sperm battle!!! YOU DID IT!!!!!!!

I remember what a relief it was not to be on the TTC thread any longer. Happy days!!

Want to wish you all a happy & healthy 9 months...they're soooooo precious and special! Im due my baby 2moro and soooo excited. I STILL cant believe im pregnant!! hee hee!!

hi, hope you are well. Having a weight crisis! I look 6 months pregnant - my bump is huge. I've also put on 11 pounds and am only 15 weeks. I'm going to be huge at the end. How much has everyone else put on?
Sorry to sound vain, but peoples' comments about my size are starting to annoy me

I've put on 3lbs and am nearly 11 weeks. I am already showing too, sure I'll be massive by November. I was huge with DS but only but on about a stone.

It could just be cake retention though as my appetite is through the roof. DH says he's never seen me polish off so much food and has never known me able to eat more than him!!

Ive put on 6lb and im nearly 15 weeks! I do think im eating a bit much though, oh and I love chocolate milkshake too at the moment!

Ive got my next midwife appointment on the 20th - Im really hoping that i will get so hear the babys heart beat, i think im going to be constantly craving the reassurance that everything is ok.

I'm not sure how much I have put on yet, not weighed myself in the morning lately.
I have quite a noticeable bump on me, I definitely look pregnant!

I had my 16 week midwife appointment today, all was well, all my blood test results were good including my iron level & Glucose Tolerance Test was normal

I got to hear our babys heartbeat

it was very clear & strong

I mentioned the throbbing / racing pulse in my head etc and she said that if it persisted for prolonged periods to see the GP. she wasn't concerned but said if it's still happening frequently in a couple of weeks to get checked. My BP was normal but it was a litttle lower than the booking one.
I am thinking that I will probably book in to see the GP soon anyway so I don't worry! I'd rather get it checked, I don't want to be paranoid about it!
I think I need to slow down a bit too, I still rush around a bit and I really mustn't!

It's all starting to feel real now, it's sinking in that we are having a baby

Taurus how strange! Ive put on exactly the same amount of weight as you, got app on same date as you as well! Not addicted to choc milkshakes though, for me its coke. Ive left it in the car at the moment and its piddling down, thunder and lightening as well. :shock:

Wishing def go to the docs hun if your worried. Oh I hope I get to hear heartbeats as well. Will def settle my mind a bit. Oh yes I am consultant led rather than midwife led. Havent met my midwife at all.

Africa girl = Wouldnt worry about how much weight you have put on hun. Everyones different. I only weigh in the mornings before eating and after a decent visit to the toilet! :lol:

Old slimming world habits die hard! :wink:

Georgie - Fab idea on the book. Lucky with the maternity clothes as well.

Songbird and Duckling - thanks for your wishes.

Daisipoppi - Good luck for scan 2moro.

Scoobyd00 - Hope your ok. Lucky you. Waiting so long for the first time and then simply catching with the 2nd, something I think we all would love. Take care.

I have had my bloods back as well. Top of my paper says O rhesus negative. Does that mean Im blood group O and rhesus negative? Trust me to have something else to add to the list. Dont think its much to worry about though, hope not anyway.

Take care everyone not mentioned, just worked back on the list.

Debbs, I'm 0 negative as well.

When I got my blood results in the post they sent a cover letter telling me I was, and send a little information on what it means. It basically just means you will have to have injections when you're further into pregnancy, or if you have any bleeding after 12 weeks you have to go straight in for an injection to prevent your body building up things that could attack future babies.

Of course if your partner is negative as well you don't have to worry about it! My 16 week appointment is on the 23rd. I'm considering asking if she will test him for his blood type..I really want to avoid injections lol.

Hi Debbs,

I'm O negative too.

Get your partner checked out for his blood group as that might save you a whole lot of worrying! Not that you should anyway....but you know! If he is negative then so will the baby and you wont need any injections. If he is positive there is a chance the baby will be, so you will need routine injections before birth and possibly afterwards.

Dont worry about it though. X

Debbs - I replied about the negative blood group etc on the other thread, don't worry about it though, all will be fine.

Well, my scan went well, baby behaved

(as did my DS

he was transfixed by the scan screen

) Dates tally with mine too. All beginning to feel a bit more real now

Debbs, don't worry about the o- thing, but they should have given you more info about it. It's a really small injection when the times comes if you need it.

I had my scan today, was really worried about it. Had almost convinced myself there would be nothing to see. EDD now 28th November, so one day less to count down. Baby looks perfect and even did a little back-flip, little heart was beating away. We almost cried.

I too feel like it's more real now.

I have an obstetric appointment next monday (it came in the post, I didn't know I'd have to see one so early - maybe it's my age?)

Georgie - ihad my first consultant at 11 weeks and just about once a month up until today when I was told am now under midwife care til 32 weeks

Really boring appointments - ask if ihave had problems, bleeding, etc - they last about 10mins for me!
