Sorry Princess I missed your post yesterday, didn't mean to ignore you .. If you get the rest of your results back and they all support the pcos diagnosis and you have been TTC for more than 6 months (and you are over 35) then they should offer you some help and/or a referral. You might get metformin, you might get Clomid, though if you are ovulating on your own you might not. If you do get Clomid, then you might just get a "day 21" blood test or you might get scans. It varies so much from PCT to PCT. As it is a 2nd baby there isn't much help on the NHS but hopefully you won't need much help to get pregnant. I am sorry that your hubby isn't much help / support. After all these years, mine still doesn't know the drugs or what they do or what my blood tests are for. I don't mind most of the time but at a bad time I really get mad at him for it, it's like only I care and only I hurt. He says it's all I think about whereas he has other things in his life. I think it's not the man's body, it's not on his mind all of the time, he doesn't feel the twinges / aches and pains that might mean something, of course he doesn't need to think of it or when to take the drugs, what his temp might mean etc. Also I think men can shut off to it easier, he once told me if he can't fix the problem then he choses to ignore it. xx

Ellen, Cherry and Vic how are you both? xx

MrsA hope you're wrong about AF, will you have one more cycle to try before IVF? I also want to start running, I have begun by adding about 1 min of running to my power walks, every so often as I really am that unfit at the moment and there is so much of me that wobbles when I run lol I hope to keep building on it though :) I didn't put on any weight over xmas which I am pleased with, the running is not just about weight though, it's about burning up the way I feel about everything too xx

ETA Lou!! Congrats on your 12 week scan hun, what an amazing turn around and what a story of never losing hope :) xx

Summer def take time off work if you can and get better, how are you today? xx

Taj nice to hear from you hun, sorry to hear that Poppy is still unwell, email me when you have a chance xx

AFM I am definitely loving not taking my temp and having a break, I am coping better being around other children (which I am a lot because DS is off school still) by saying to myself "this does not need to be solved today, enjoy what you have right now" it's trying to be present in the situation I am in, like mindfulness, without looking at other children and then trying to figure out what cycles I should do or should I adopt and everything going round and round in my head. I can't say that it doesn't hurt at all but it is better than it was xx

Thanks Claire. Your situation sounds like mine (daft men). Just a wait and see game now I guess then which I am NOT good at.
I'm 35 in march so maybe nothing will happen til then but I am hoping because of the problems with acne, depression and hair loss I might at least get referred sooner.
The diet and exercise start today tho so if I can lose a bit of weight that might help too. We'll done to you for not putting any on Claire and we'll done for getting your head round things x.

Summer - I was the same before Christmas and just kept getting one thing after another and never properly getting rid of a cold. I managed to get cover at work over Christmas and have had a good week off which seems to have sorted it. Tablets didn't work for me anyway just rest and hot drinks. Can you get the whole of the week off? At least then you wouldn't have to think about work x
ET - I had spotting for the first 6 weeks or so then it just stopped.

Hi to everyone x

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is well and doesn't have too much of the Sunday blues (I def do after two weeks off!)

Claire- glad you are feeling settled, must be doing some good not having to take your temp the other day and giving your mind a chance to relax. Have you got the mindfullness app? I have it but never really used it so would be interested to hear if it worked! Wierdly I had a dream about getting a BFP the other night as well ... but I was only CD3 so was really confused... then I woke up. Strange old world!

Princess- sorry to hear about your hubby, agree with Claire that men are genreally 'fixers' and if they feel they can't do something through working or chucking money at it they tend to shut down! That's a nightmare abotu your doc as well... I'm so shocked at how little they know about PCOS- even those claiming to be specialists! It's like a really taboo subject in the medical profession. I hope you get the help you need soon. How is the acne?

Mrs A- I might have missed this at the end of the other thread... but great that your boss is being so understanding. Massive weight off your shoulders. When are you due to start (sorry if that sounds really ignorant I don't know how the process works/ how long it takes)

Kitty- that' good to hear your husband is starting to consider IVF. is your appt on Thursday? What do you think you'll do?

Hi everyone else :)

AFM- no news as per usual. Although my clomid literally came through just in the nick of time last Wednesday (CD2 for me) ... the pathetic and superstitious side of me decided to just go for it so we'll see if there's a normal cycle this time. I think if nothing happens then I think I'll take a break until after the wedding (it's right at the start of April) so that I can really enjoy it and appreciate what I've got! Also had the bf chat with my fiance and he was really good about it so at least that's a weight off my mind Xx

Evening ladies,

Summer... That makes perfect sense, I wondered why you weren't on warfarin but with ttc the injections sound like the best option for you. If you are feeling unwell you should really follow your body as you've has such a bad bill of health lately that your body needs time to recover.

Tamsin... So lovely to hear from you. I'm sorry poppy is poorly. I hope motherhood is everything you hoped for and more.

Claire... I think we'll have one or two cycles to go before ivf depending on how long my cycles will be, since they seem to be getting longer now. I'm glad your feeling better.. I think the first week when af arrives is the worst week but we pick ourselves back up again slowly... It's a vicious circle! Im waiting for my downer this week!!

Gina.. We will have the nurse appointment through in the next 4-5 weeks for our initial consultation to go through everything and all the paper work and then we decide on a month to start... I think we'll be looking at April since hubby is going back to South Africa in March and we won't make February. We'll see if they agree on April when we go for our first appointment. So glad your clomid arrived in time... Awesome!! That's completely understandable with your wedding coming up but hopefully you'll be a pregnant bride :)

Welcome Caz!! I hope your stay is short and sweet :) have you had any signs of ov? Do you chart on fertilty friend at all? If so link your chart up so we can all keep an eye on it to guide you.

Hello to everyone else!

Nothing here... Just waiting! No AF symptoms or anything now... Tempted to test but know I'm being stupid to even think it might be positive with ovulating so late!! Just got to keep thinking forward to ivf. Scan is on weds and then cd 2/3 bloods probably this week.

Morning everyone

Just on my way to the GP. I am hoping she signs me off for the week as I just can't see how I can return to work and cope. Not only that I think it will hinder my recovery. I am not sure what I need. Last night hubby blamed the mc as the start of my long line of poor health but I actually had bronchitis when I fell pregnant! I think this is one of the reasons he doesn't really want to TTC as he thinks it all stems from that. I blame the house we lived in with the mould. I have never been this ill before and it all started when I lived in that house!

Will update when I am out.

Now to go back to bed!

Summer - Just sending you get well soon messages and I hope that a week's bedrest is all you need. TTC is stressful enough, but having all these health complications is making things even worse. You OH just wants to protect you - the man cave reaction!

Welcome Caz - hope your stay is short and sweet!

I'll do more personals a bit later or tomorrow, but just wanted to let Gina and everyone know my appointment is a week today (Monday) and I still don't have a clue as to what hubby will go with! I had a really good chat with my MS nurse today so that made me feel a bit better. Mrs A - I hope I'm your IVF buddy! xxx

Dec15 - IVF conf'd start Jan 2016

Hi all, hi Caz...

I'm really confused now, my blood tests have come back normal; testosterone 1.9, sex hormones 31, prolactin 173, FSH 7.2, lh 5.8 and the last I didn't catch 6.1
So I have all symptoms including cysts on my ovaries but blood tests say no.
I don't know whether to be happy or sad.
Can anyone offer words of wisdom?

Evening All

Thank you for your very kind welcome :-)

I had some pains in my left side last night but that's it really...I'm not very good with fertility friend haha.

I use the ovusense fertility monitor...not sure if anyone has heard of it?
