Congrats Vic, that looks like a BFP to me. Xx

Mrs A - glad your appointment went well. Xx

Happy new year to you all. Hopefully many more BFPs. X

AFM - AF has been in full force for 3 days now but decided not to take Clomid as our next appointment I singly a week on Monday. Spoke to hubby and he promised he'd think about IVF before the appointment. I feel awful at this time of year with all the holiday ads with happy smiley families. Feeling a bit better today though.
Nov 12 - Dec 15 - natural and Clomid 100mg cycles all BFN
Dec15 - IVF conf'd start Jan 2016
Feb-Mar16 - Long protocol ICSI, egg collection scheduled 22nd March
It worked! EDD 09/12/16 with a little boy

Aw Pink, that's wonderful. Congratulations! So so happy for you, you were here before me. Are you going to get married before or wait? Wishing you all the best xxx

Hi girls

Another pregnancy announcement on my Facebook today and to top it off its twins! Scan pics etc posted and sadness just washed over me. It's not that I'm not happy for her, this will be her 3rd and 4th, but I always just think it isn't going to happen for me. I have been trying since 2011 (the year my son was born). Ugh, trying to remain positive but to be honest I had hoped after having one child relativelying easily (after getting treatment), the second try wouldn't be nearly as hard as would hopefully just follow the first time (same treatment etc), I had also hoped that giving birth might have helped as with so many it does. Sorry, just had to vent really, no one else seems to understand. Even my husband is somewhat reluctant now to have another child as he thinks with my recent DVT I shouldn't even be thinking of another child. I am hoping he realises it won't necessarily affect anything and I am waiting for it to resolve before the OD operation.

Oh summer, hope you are ok. Of course you don't begrudge her but it is the hardest thing, and one that no one else can truly understand unless they've been through it. Sometimes I think about deleting fb as nothing good ever comes from it! I'm thinking of you and hope you feel better, it has been a tough couple of months for you but March isn't far away for the OD. Your hubbies probably feeling a bit scared (understandably) from the DVT, when you're fully recovered he'll be back on it. It will happen. Big hugs Xx

Morning everyone :)

Vic how are you hun? Have you done any more tests? xx

Summer how are you feeling? I watched The Fault in Our Stars last night and whilst I am in no way saying that we shouldn't feel as bad as we do at times, it really put things in to perspective for me and helped me to feel better about the things I do have. Then last night I dreamt I got a BFP, it was so real, the line on the test, I couldn't believe it so I got a CB digi and it actually said "pregnant 15-27" lol I think that meant days past ov rather than weeks. When I went to take a photo of it, it had changed to "not pregnant" and I was confused. Then I woke up and it felt horrible because of course i'm not pregnant :( Anyway, I hope that you start to feel more positive, everything can look so bleak sometimes and you feel no hope but it can turn around, we have seen some good examples of that with Mandy and Lou etc. Try not to feel that you have to have all of the answers right now and just take it day by day **hugs** xx

Hkitty I am keeping everything crossed for you that hubby comes round to IVF and that you have reason to feel hopeful and excited, that's not saying you can't get a BFP any other way but it can take a long time and I know how much you are hurting xx

MrsA you have quite a nice chart now, how are you feeling? xx

Gina are you def taking this cycle off or did you get your Clomid? xx

Ellen is everything ok with you hun? Did you do another CB digi? xx

Sgclaire 8 weeks today!! xx

Cherry, Woody and everyone else, hope you're ok xx

Hi to everyone else xxxx

Summer - my husband is useless and I feel completely alone in all of this. He isn't particularly bothered about having another baby anyway so that it all me doing the pushing and to make it worse he doesn't understand or want to understand a womans cycle and peak conception time etc. I just try to keep him in a good mood when its time to dtd and pretend he is just irresistible so he doesn't feel like a chore x. He still keeps showing me other people's baby photos on Facebook even though I cried!

I just had my scan and the radiographer said there were lots of little cysts on my ovaries so a diagnosis of PCOS would fit but also that my ovaries were a funny shape - long and thin but enlarged volumewise. Does anybody know if this means anything?
On the plus side she said there were eggs there.
I see my GP a week on Monday. What should I be asking for? Do I go straight in and ask for medication - Metformin/clomid - or might there still be some questions to be asked or tests to be done? My 21day progesterone (done on day 30 of a 35 day cycle) was 7 and I am awaiting the results from the other hormone tests done on CD5.

Happy New Year ladies!

Sorry I am only just posting but I have been laid up since Tuesday & am only just now starting to feel slightly human again! Still coughing all the time but my fever/chills have gone & my body & head aren't aching quite as much anymore!

Pinkprincess - congratulations! What a wonderful start to the year for you! Twice over with your engagement as well! You must be absolutely thrilled! Have you managed to speak to your clinic yet & arrange an early scan?

Summer - sorry you're having a hard time at the moment, I'm really hoping that 2015 is your year :)

Claire31 - can't believe that dream! Must have felt awful when you woke up, you poor thing. Glad that watching that film has helped you to feel better about things though :) I haven't done another CB digi yet as I haven't managed to buy another pack, think I'll get one tomorrow & test on Monday though. Did another FRER Tuesday morning to compare to the week before & it was really strong but haven't done any tests since then. Had my HCG blood test at the docs yesterday though so I'll get that result next week too.

MrsA - how are you? I'm so pleased that your boss is being so helpful with letting you have time off for the IVF, one less thing for you to have to worry about :) To answer your question from the previous thread, I have also lost 3 stone on SW since April, though I haven't really been doing it for the last month if I'm honest! Ordered a shop in yesterday (no way I was up to a shopping trip this week!) so the fridge is now full of lovely healthy things again :)

Cherry, SGC - how's everything with you guys?

How is everyone else?

AFM - I'm not panicking, but I am a little nervous. Yesterday I had some brown spotting (only on the tissue) first thing in the morning so I rang my consultant to let her know. She got back to me and was very reassuring, saying that it's quite common and that it could be further implantation bleeding & that she was happy to leave my scan until the 12th unless anything changed (ie painful cramps, heavier bleeding). She also asked me if I was ill as I sounded rough (cheeky but fair!) & if I'd been coughing a lot. When I said that I'd been coughing so much I was sick she said that could also be a contributing factor to the spotting - never heard that before! Felt ok about it yesterday as I didn't have any more spotting, but now I've had spotting again this morning?! Not as much, but starting to feel a little concerned now. Am I just being silly? xxx

Evening ladies,

Oh how wonderful Vic... Double congratulations and I really can't think of a happier start to the year than you have had :) I'm sure your friend will totally understand with your maid of honour duties after you journey.

Kitty... Sorry you've felt down and hope that you are slowly picking yourself back up :) I'm glad hubby is thinking about ivf... Perhaps we will go through it together.

Summer... Pregnancy announcements are never nice to hear when you've been ttc a long time and have complications. I deleted Facebook nearly a year ago and it's done me the world of good :) I'm sure hubby will be on board once your dvt has resolved, he is probably just really worried about your health... Have they said you need to stop ttc for 3 months whilst on treatment?

Claire... I hope you are starting to feel a bit better also. It is definitely that time of year. I watched that film on the plane back from SA and was in floods of tears. Reminded me of my best friends battle in 2013... So sad. Everyone told me not to watch it but I did. Yes, my chart is starting to look pretty but I feel very af-ish earlier than usual!!

Princess... When you go for your appointment I would be firstly asking for a diagnosis. They may start you on metformin. The GP will have all your results and will hopefully be able to refer you to a fertility clinic. GP's don't usually prescribe clomid as it needs to be monitored by a specialist. Hubby will need to do a semen analysis too before you can be referred... It's a long process unfortunately.

ET... I'm sorry to hear about your spotting... I hope you get some clarity with your beta hcg blood test. From what you have described it sounds like it still be implantation, especially with all of your coughing. I hope your starting to feel better... Your temp looks like it shot up! Well done on the weight loss!! Will you stick with it throughout your pregnancy? I've just got some running trainers and plan to do the couch to 5k to start with! I used to be so good at long distance running when I was a fit teen!!

Gina... How are you?

Woody... Have you had your appointment yet?

Hello to all the mums to be! I hope you are all doing well :)

Nothing much here... Just hanging around waiting for af to rear her ugly face!!

Hi girls

Just a quick one as I am running out of battery on my phone.

I was told that as I was actively TTC then the injections were the only safe way to go about it. If I chose to take time off TTC then I could go on tablets, but no tablets are safe while TTC so I opted for the injections as I didn't want to take 3 months off. There is also no guarantee that treatment will stop after 3 months. I was told that as I am TTC when/if I fall pregnant I will be more prone to clots so I may need treatment throughout so I figured I may as well jump in with the injections.

I am still feeling quite unwell, cough, earache, cold symptoms etc. As I am on Heparin I can't take cough medicine, ibuprofen or anything other than paracetamol. To be honest I can't see me going back to work on Monday. I need something to boost my immune system as I am just catching everything right now. I have been ill for the last 3 months!!!

How is everyone getting on?

Mrs A - let's hope AF stays away, your chart is looking good!!!
