PCOS pain?

Postby Niceanimal » Thu Jun 19, 2014 8:53 am

Hello,

I am new to Verity but a long-time PCOS sufferer and am looking for some advice from fellow PCOSers.

I've just been through two unsuccessful rounds of IVF, the second of which ended mid-March. Over the past couple of weeks I have had increasingly bad ovarian pain (both sides), resulting in a trip to A&E and to my IVF clinic. All my BW has come back normal and a scan revealed nothing more than my usual PCOS ovaries.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had PCOS-related pain (I have been told that PCOS does not cause pain but I am not convinced) and if so, if it was worse after IVF or other fertility treatment?

All advice / stories appreciated.

Thank you :)

First NHS IVF Oct-Dec 2013; OHSS, failed as no eggs divided
Second NHS IVF (ICSI) Jan-Mar 2014; 1 3bb blast transferred, no frosties, BFN
No idea what's next...

No pain is not generally a symptom but is with endometriosis - have you been checked for this? It may be worth posting on the TTC board as other ladies have had IVF and may be able to help.

Thanks Hols969. Yes, I have been checked for endo and it's not that. Is a bit of a mystery! Good idea to try the IVF board. Thanks.
