I have had PCOS for 30 years and now diagnosed with hypothyroid too.
Anyone else suffer with both and can give any help?

I take thyroxine everyday now along with metformin as I'm IR as well.

I have put on over a stone in the past 9 months due to my UAT, which is really depressing as I had just lost a stone.

Anyone else??

xx

I'm not sure how much I can help but didn't want to read and run.

I'm on thyroxine too, as well as metformin but just for fertility, I'm not IR. I know underactive thyroid can lead to weight gain but hopefully if this is the cause it will regulate itself with the appropriate dosage of thyroxine? Is this weight gain definitely down to UAT or could it be hormonal imbalance or IR in play as well?

I started to lose weight and was doing OK, then it started to creep back on and I felt so tired. After going through a checklist the GP ordered Thyroid bloods. These came back showing an UAT, and bloods have since got worse and so has my weight gain so it does look like UAT is playing a large part :/
