High prolactin levels

Postby DCO22 » Sun Aug 07, 2011 9:41 pm

Again I'm not sure if I am posting in the right area, sorry if I'm not!

I've been having lots of blood tests this year and my last one came back with high prolactin. Has anyone else had this? My doctor is making me re-do the blood test because of this and I am a bit worried. I know that it is common for women with pcos to have elevated prolactin levels, but what I want to know is.. will elevated prolactin make my pcos symptoms worse? Are there any ways I can bring my levels down naturally? Also, when I go back to the doctor about this, does anyone have any recommendations for things I ought to ask?

Sorry for the barrage of questions! GPs just never give enough answers.
