breast pain/hot flushes

Postby beaglelady » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:07 pm

My gp has recently run blood tests as I have been having hot flushes/getting warm really quickly and also having really sharp breast pain. I had a hyst in march but kept my ovaries. Tests show my ovaries are working but some of my other levels indicate my pcos may be causing problems. Know my weight has gone up. Has anyone else experienced this ?
had the lot pcos endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids. now in early surgical menopause.

ive had breast pain in the past, but firstly make sure its not a lump, ask your gp to refer you to a specialist and have a scan/x-ray, mine was ok although there was a lump, the docs put it down to a 'hormone imbalance' and to take pain killers and 'evening primrose oil' supplements...after a while the pain settled down, but it came again a few times after just before my 'cycle' and then went away.

I agree with celicachic- make sure that the pain isn't coming from a lump! I would suggest talking to a professional about the breast pain. It could be something not to worry about, but it could also be something serious (breast cancer, for example). Keep us updated and good luck!
