I tend to feel tired, and paradoxically have trouble sleeping, so it's a vicious circle! gotta love hormones ...

Me too.

I can't even sleep until early hours in the morning and when I do I barely sleep at all.
Throughout the day I am soooooooooo tired, but if I lay down I just can never sleep.
And when I'm awake I feel too tired to even do anything.

i was wondering about this, this morning. I went to sleep last night feeling exhausted at 930pm. To wake up at my normal time of 630. Yet im VERY sleepy still and feel terrible and tired. Caffiene is a friend but it can cause you to cramp more so i try not to bother with it and just try taking vitamins etc to try and boost my system.

I just wondered how much tiredness is involved with PCOS??? I feel exhausted but have had 9 hours solid sleep, and literally had to drag myself to work this morning. Its a bit odd but if it is part of the pcos then its partially understandable.

I'm tired all the time as well, it doesn't matter what I eat/drink or how much sleep I get. You can almost guarentee that I'll be tired all the time before 10am and all the time after 5pm so at least I have around 7 hours of feeling "normal". But as soon as I go to bed I'm wide awake for up to 4 hours every night very frustrating!!
Diagnosed with PCOS July 2005.
TTC since 2008.
HSG July 2010 all clear.

Hi Chalkie86
I too feel tired all the time and this has been going on since i was about 23 (i'm now 30). My boyfriend's mum used to say 'i've never met someone so young who sleeps as much as you do' when i first met her.
Didn't realise i had PCOS until summer 2010.
I am quite active and have been regurlary exercising since spring 2009 3-4 times a week. I started off feeling better for the exercise but recently i haven't been able to do as much as i have been feeling exhausted, extremley dizzy and suffering severe wind which is embarrasing. It is SO annoying as i really enjoy keeping fit.
Just want you to know you are not alone and if you ever want to chat just PM me. :) x

Ive specifically asked our endocrinologist and they do think there is a link between Vit D defficiency (which can cause tiredness) and pcos - you will have to wait for our Intouch mag which is due out soon for a full explanation tho!!
