It's horrible...sometimes I feel like I've got a fan heater strapped to my chest pointing straight at my face.

I'm always warm, even in the depths of winter we only ever use a 3 tog duvet and I'm usually hanging half out of it...Hubby says I'm like a furnace but he's always cold so he likes it and I love it when he snuggles up and puts his cold belly on my back

i'm so glad its not just me then!

It's awful isn't it. LOL Pixichick I love it when my boys put their cold feel on me, I put my youngest sons feet on my face to cool down and he giggles like mad.

Aww...giggly cold feets

If you saw them you wouldnt put my Hubbys feet anywhere near your face...even after I've pinned him down and attacked him with the PedEgg  but they are nice and cool in bed.

Mint tea is supposed to be good to cool you down, not something I've tried and I can't remember if it's peppermint or spearmint thats good for hairyness if you suffer from that too.

hahahaha my husbands feet are the same ewwwww lol

i think i will give peppermint/spearmint tea a go, i do suffer very bad from hairyness (face, neck, upperlip, chin) and at times i loose the hair on my head.

the things we have to go through!

I always thought hot flushes were part and parcel of pcos I have to say as it is a hormonal imbalance and you tend to get them when you are going thru the menopause which is an imbalance of your hormones.

Luckily now I dont go too red in the face which I used to when I was younger!!

ladies, evening.

oh hell yeah, i've been hot since 1994 and hot all day, all night. i'm 36 so guess i'll be prepared for the menopause!!! its just another symptom that my dr's just dont know what to do with. currently in a trade off/ stand off between 2 dr's over my meds as it is.

i could live on cold drinks, i wouldnt be bothered if i ever ate/drank anything warm ever again.

question - do you like the heat / a warm climate? i find this makes me even worse so holidays in sweden where it was -17 in the day was fabulous!!!!

I prefer a colder climate where I can wrap up if it's too cold. Hate the heat because I don't know what to do with myself!!!

Sweden sounds lovely!

hi

i would totally recommend winter/ new year in sweden or anywhere scandinavian. only time i have worn a jumper indoors for decades!!

you dont get prickly heat or swollen hands/feet /face when its -17 degs outside.

perhaps we need a hot flushes + cold holiday thread?

but again, how many dr's are interested in this symptom? not mine. What works as a treatment - peppermint/spearmint tea just makes me hotter...is there anything herbal used for menopause that we could try to balance things out?

used to get hot flushes constantly, my hair would be soaking wet with sweat like i had just washed it
Never get that symptom now. And I don't know whether it was because i lost weight and eat better now or whether it was just coincidence it has got better. But i remember breaking out in sweats even doing something like putting some plates in the dishwasher! So I would think from what everyone is saying it is another symptom of pco we have to put up with.
