mid cycle pain

Postby hecate105 » Tue Oct 06, 2009 3:49 pm

Does anyone else suffer from mid cycle pain? i get severe pain for 4-5 days around ovulation time. Lady Dr has given me mefanamic acid & painkillers - male Dr said hysterectomy!! How does anyone else cope? Also hubby and i are thinking of ttc - as i have fibromyalgiac we'd sort of given up on the idea, but now i'm 43, its sort of last chance... any advice? My periods are regular, but scan showed cyst covered ovaries as well as many other pcos symptoms, and have not conceived since miscarriage 21yrs ago.

do post what happens when you get to see the specialist - i was just told to give it a few more months and then they might send me to see someone!

Certainly will, you have been given the exact same pain medication as me and although it works sometimes the pain comes and goes very quick so doesnt always touch it. It seems to be increasing more these past months mind.

I tryed for my dr to take me seriously for so long about this untill I thought I had a kidney infection/stones. It was only when I went for the scan on my kidneys and I complained the pain was also in my pelvic area they found loads of cysts.

Keep being persistant with them and explain all symtoms when you go see you dr.

I will - thanks. Funnily enough i went to dr years ago with lots of severe abdominal pain - he said i had an ulcer, 3 months later , 3 stone lighter, i was rushed to hospital with an infected gall bladder - the pain had been gall stones all along!
