PCOS and inflammatory bowel disease

Postby Tabyas » Mon Oct 24, 2011 8:50 pm

I'm new to this! And newly diagnosed with PCOS - insulin resistance and reactive hypoglycaemia and elevated androdtendione. I also have inflammatory bowel disease (diagnosed about 3 hrs ago). I'm starting the Metformin slowly to build up. I was wondering if any other members have both PCOS and IBD? And if Metformin has had consequences?
Thanks!

Not sure whether you'll receive/see this response, hopefully you do!

I have been diagnosed with IBD & PCOS, I am struggling so much with them both and never realized they were related.

How are you doing now? I have not been prescribed Metformin yet, awaiting results from biopsy's.
