No bleed on pill free week

Postby artoostacetoo » Mon May 05, 2014 7:55 am

Hi all,

I am 24 years old was diagnosed with PCOS a month ago and was then put on the pill Marvelon.

I have just taken my 1st full packet, im due to start the next pack tomorrow but I havent had a bleed in the pill free week. Has anyone else had this?

Previous to this I hadnt had a period for 5 months, which is what caused me to go to the docs as I'm definitely not pregnant.

Im wondering if my body needs a couple of months to regulate or if something is wrong?

Please share any stories that could help.

No it sounds like typical pcos, some ladies don't bleed even when on the contraceptive pill so you will need to ask for something like provera to force a bleed (4 times a year) to make sure your uterus stays healthy. It could be it is settling down so as long as you aren't pregnant then I would take the next pack and see how it goes next month. I take 2 months on the trot as it controls the symptoms better (tried 3 months but kept spotting on the 3rd month so try 3 months if you can) as it reduces the symptoms massively.
