What to eat for breakfast

I'm struggling to find something to eat for breakfast that is low-carb, quick and easy to prepare (less than 5 min), or that can be prepared the night before. I've thought about just having a protein shake - but it's pricey, and would prefer to stick to real food if possible. Any suggestions?

Hi, I usually have a mixture of 2 dessertspoons of ground seeds (sunflower, pumpkin & linseed), 1 dessertspoon of chia seeds, and 2 dessertspoons of oats a handful of frozen raspberries, with almond milk soaked overnight. You can leave out the oats if you want lower carb or add some full fat yogurt. Takes a few minutes to throw together and on the days i'm working I mix it all up in a jar and just take it to work to have there.

Have you thought of an omlette or scrambled eggs? If you mix the eggs the night before and leave the mix in the fridge in a jug or bowl, then in the morning you just have to heat the pan and cook it :)

How about the 70+ pudding? When I'm in a rush that is always my go to breakfast....can make it in like 30 seconds. Add sliced banana and blueberries and it's great! 14 grams of protein and fiber from the fruits and you're ready to go! hope that helps...

Hi Granola!
A granola that is specially made for slow energy release it says GL on the packet, full of nuts and seeds. I add chopped fresh fruit.
Also I have been regular ever since I have been eating it (sorry).
Not sure I can name it on the forum.

-Almonds with a glass of milk (very satisfying surprisngly)
-Boiled eggs
-Porridge
-Greek yoghurt + seeds + fruit/berries
-Organic peanut butter on wholemeal toast
-Homemade guacamole on wholemeal toast

Just started going to the gym and my trainer suggested having eggs and bacon.
I was starting to feel tired before lunch.
He said the lack of carbs would prevent the crash.
Been a couple of weeks now and I think its working, he also said that I should try eating the granola before bed, saying that carb will help me sleep.
Though I do worry about IR, fat and all that. Perhaps if one is exercising enough there won't be an issue.

i am eating oatmeal every morning as its very easy to prepare and you can vary by adding different fruits and yoghurts

Not too keen on the saltiness of bacon so...
Turkey mince & egg, fried, although could be cooked in a pan, quick to cook!

I am not having dips in sugar mid morning anymore.

I don't follow a low carb diet but here are some of my favourite healthy breakfasts:

-Overnight oats (almond milk,low fat greek yogurt and a sprinkping of stevia)
- Scrambled egg white on toast
- Frozen banana slices on toast with a drizzle of peanut butter (believe me - it works!!)

Lower carb options
- Home made protein shake (with or without added protein powder) - low fat greek yogurt, almond milk, frozen fruit and sprinkling of stevia
- egg white omlette with tomatoes and spinach
- tin of tuna (sounds odd but works as a great snack - high protein, low fat and virtually carb free)
-chia seed pudding (i soak a 1-2tbsp of chia seeds in almond milk over night)
